AUSTIN, TEXAS (March 7, 2018) — Oden Hughes, LLC has broken ground on a 300-unit luxury community at 135 Foremost Dr. in South Austin on a highly visible site between South Congress Avenue and Interstate 35.
Scheduled to open in 2019, the community will offer one-two-and-three bedroom units as well as two-bedroom townhomes. Rents are expected to range from approximately $1,127 to just under $2,000 a month.
The 14.6 acre-project is the sixth community that Oden Hughes has built in South Austin in the last six years.
“South Austin remains a top destination for young professionals who want to live near work and popular retail, restaurant and entertainment amenities but are unwilling or unable to pay much higher rents in and around downtown,” said Tim Shaughnessy, Oden Hughes vice president of development. “Austin’s job and population growth remain strong, and we expect demand for apartments in this area will remain high for some time.”
Amenities in the community will include: a Sky Lounge, resort-style pool with two cold spas and Vegas-style cabanas, a 24-hour fitness center and fitness on demand aerobic room, billiards and shuffleboard, a dog park and dog wash station, a Green Egg smoker and package lockers.

Oden Hughes Construction will serve as general contractor for the project. Oden Hughes Management will lease and manage the community.
